    Under the direction of second-year head coach Paul Crowley, the Captains finished the year with a 7-4 record and captured the first ever New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship for the program. CNU advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time in the 23-season history of the program and the first time since 2014. Powered by one of the best defenses in program history, the Captains ranked 15th nationally in Division III allowing just 251.5 yards of total offense per game. Once again, CNU ranked in the top-20 nationally in attendance, welcoming in an average of 3,300 fans to TowneBank Stadium per game.
