Marching Captains New Uniforms Campaign
The Marching Captains bring the spirit of CNU to countless athletic events, the Ferguson Center for Holiday Happening, and events throughout Hampton Roads and around the world. Notable past performances include the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the New Year's Day Parade in London, a Washington National's baseball game and the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.
At over 200 members, the Marching Captains are one of the largest NCAA Division III marching bands in the country. The band is composed of talented musicians from all disciplines around campus.
Marching with pride has been a long tradition for the members of the CNU Marching Captains. They inspire our teams to victory and fill our hearts with joy.
Today, they need our support.
The average band uniform last approximately seven years, and the Marching Captains uniforms have outlived their lifespan.The Marching Captains New Uniform Campaign will provide important resources to purchase 200 uniforms. New uniforms cost $700 a piece. Please consider donating today to ensure they are always putting their best foot forward and looking sharp as they represent CNU. Christopher Newport parents who contribute $1,000 or more will also be members of the President’s Parent Council with all benefits commensurate. For any donor that gives $100 or more, you will be recognized as a Friends of Music donor based on your level of giving.
