Thanks to the incredible support of our families, boosters, and community partners, CNU Basketball enjoyed another historic season. The Captains finished with a 25-6 record and advanced to the Final Four for the fourth time in program history. In the program’s 58th season, Christopher Newport earned its 29th NCAA Tournament appearance and reached the tournament for the tenth consecutive year — the longest active streak in the nation.

Your generosity helped provide unforgettable experiences for our student-athletes both on and off the court. From competing internationally in Barcelona, Spain against top Spanish clubs to traveling across the country throughout the season, our team was able to grow together while representing Christopher Newport at the highest level.

As we look ahead, we are excited about the future of this program. With a talented core of returning student-athletes, the Captains are prepared to bring leadership, experience, and energy back to the Freeman Center for another exciting season.
