    Coach's Note

Thanks to the support of our families, boosters, and community partners, our CNU basketball team had the opportunity to travel to Barcelona, Spain for one week this summer. During the trip we played two high level games against Spanish clubs, participated in a basketball clinic for kids, and of course bonded as a team as we experienced a new and exciting culture together. This was our fourth foreign tour since 2013 and these trips have gone hand in hand with our success in recruiting, retention, and performance on the court. We begin fundraising and planning years ahead of our departure to make this a reality for our student-athletes.

Last season was an exciting one that ended in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament in an epic game at the Freeman Center that came down to the final shot. We were the only team in the field to have qualified for the NCAA tournament in each of the past nine seasons. We were led by four time All-American Jahn Hines and we will miss the contributions of Jahn, Jamaal Madison and Christian Wilson greatly!

Looking ahead to 2025-26, we are excited about the experience, leadership, talent, and character of this team. We will add 5 newcomers to a roster that returns 15 experienced players from last season, including lone senior Collin Hines and several juniors who have played major minutes since their freshman year. We have another great schedule and will play against some of the best teams in the country both here at the Freeman Center and on the road.

I hope you will consider supporting our basketball program and joining the Champions Club. Your gifts of any amount are critical to us being able to offer our student-athletes the world class experience that supports their growth as both young men and basketball players.  Thank you and Go Captains!
