The 2024 campaign was the 50th anniversary of the storied men’s soccer program at CNU.  We celebrated the anniversary on September 21st as over 100 men’s soccer alums joined us during halftime at midfield.  Part of the magic of that night included 8 alumni in attendance from 1974, the first team in program history.  That night, the Captains secured a 1-0 win over a top ten team and vaulted all the way to #8 in the national rankings.  Your Captains concluded the season with the number one ranked hardest schedule in the country after a heartbreaking loss in the conference finals.

Your 2025 Captains are returning a young team as we graduated only 5 seniors.  The young roster garnered plenty of experience in 2024 and the outlook for the future is extremely bright.  The 2025 schedule begins with six straight home games followed by a trip to Dallas to play two of the top teams in the country.  The regular season will cap off at Captains Field as we host the C2C Championships at CNU!

Every gift makes an impact on what we are able to accomplish together for the student-athlete experience here at Christopher Newport. Because of your support, we can ensure that Christopher Newport is the best place in Division III to play men's soccer!

Gifts made on CNU Day and during our annual campaign will go directly to the student-athletes on the team to help pay for flights, hotels, and dining on the road.

Thank you for your contribution, this will allow us to continue to run one of the best programs in the country!
