    Coach's Note

The 2024-2025 season saw our Women’s Tennis team once again reach program record heights capped off by the second C2C conference championship in a row! The team reached a high ranking of #14 nationally in the ITA team rankings-the highest ranking in program history. Highlights of last year include a 4-3 win against #7 Washington and Lee on our home courts, a 9-0 victory over Mary Washington, and a thrilling 5-1 victory in the conference championship match against UC Santa Cruz.

We also reached new individual heights with the top singles player ranking in program history (Raine Weis #14) and the highest ranking for a doubles team in program history (Weis/Schaefer #7). In addition, the team had a player qualify for the NCAA tournament in singles and a doubles team qualify for the NCAA doubles tournament as well.

Every gift makes an impact in what we are able to accomplish together and allows us to provide a wonderful experience for our student-athletes. Your support helps to fund basic equipment, travel, and the work we do off the court to assist our team with mental training. Join our community of champions and help make Christopher Newport the best place in DIII to play women’s tennis.
